MANCHESTER CITY(1)

Poor Performance From City Leaves Sven Frustrated
A normally placid and serene Sven Goran Eriksson was left frustrated after his Manchester City side succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Everton.

City never got of the blocks in the first half at Goodison Park and consequently fell behind to a Joleon Lescott goal.

The Sky Blues emerged slightly better in the second half but still didn’t threaten to equalise, a fact that left Eriksson scratching his head wondering how it went wrong.

"It was frustrating," Eriksson told Sky Sports.

"We lost, which is bad of course, but even more frustrating is how we played for the first 40 minutes.

"We started to kick it long and tried to win second balls, which we shouldn't have done because we are not good at that.

"We are not brave enough to try and play and when we got the ball we gave it away. There were too many errors.

"But it got better, in the second half we started to play as we can.

"But I don't think we created enough to deserve a draw."
