Gudjohnsen: Henry Has Much More To Give
Barcelona midfielder Eidur Gudjohnsen had a fine game himself against Real Murcia, but chose to praise team-mate Thierry Henry after the 4-0 win.

Henry Can Do Better

The Frenchman was indeed the star of the show, helping in three of Barcelona's four goals, including Gudjohnsen's opener, when he dragged the two centre-halves with him, leaving the Iceland international free to turn Zambrotta's cross into the net.

He also set up Bojan Krkic and Samuel Eto'o, and came close himself a number of times.

"This is not the best Henry I have seen, because in England he was even better," insisted Gudjohnsen.

"However, today he showed his spark, and that he has that quality in him that can prove decisive in games.

"He can get into even better form when he is fully fit. He is one of the best footballers ever."

More Of The Same For Himself

He himself had a great match in midfield, working hard for the team, and also contributing in attack.

"I try to do all I can to help the team, and to win the confidence of the coach," he continued.

"It was very disappointing not to play against Madrid [when Rijkaard susprisingly chose an unfit and out of form Deco], but it was a decision of the coach.

"After all, it was Deco who played, and he is an extraordinary player. However, now I am only looking ahead, and not behind."

He also admitted that he had entertained doubts about his future in the summer, when he had been transfer-listed.

"It was not easy. I had to do a lot of thinking about my future. Now I feel much better about the decision I made, and hope to continue in the same vein," he concluded.
